The South is unique, but more special is its stories. The project’s purpose is to explore how the unique Southern voice can inform and shape creative fiction, ultimately adding depth to the body of Southern literature. Drawing from research on topics found in Southern literature such as humor, religion, spirituality, and family, as well as themes such as grace, the project will incorporate these elements into a creative fiction piece to discover what it means to write in our particular region.
