The Arts Playground is an intergenerational center designed to welcome people of all genders and ethnicities, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can feel supported and inspired by a community of like-minded individuals. The space will offer dedicated areas for a wide range of creative passions, allowing people to work, learn, teach, and collaborate with one another. No matter someone’s level of experience or knowledge, they will be encouraged to create freely in a safe and open setting. Through natural lighting, biophilic design, bold colors, and rich patterns and textures, the space itself becomes a vibrant backdrop that inspires creativity and artistic expression. The Arts Playground is a place full of fun creations, created by fun people!
Shyann Pegram is from Walkertown, North Carolina, and a senior at Salem College. She serves as the Social Correspondent for the Campus Activity Board and as the Senior Class Treasurer. Shyann is majoring in Design with a concentration in Interior Design. She transferred to Salem College from Forsyth Technical Community College, where she earned her associate in arts degree. Following graduation, she plans to continue her work with Linden Creek Home Staging and Design in Kernersville, North Carolina, where she is currently completing an internship.
